Who we are

Mission statement

Meeting people where they are. Standing for a better life for everyone in our path.

Our mission

At Bridge to Freedom, we believe in making a positive difference in people's lives - from today's young people to every person in our society.

We want to reduce stigma and discrimination by meeting people where they are and recognising that everyone's recovery journey is different. We are committed to improving mental health and addiction services and changing how people are treated by councils, the police, hospitals, GP services, and the hotels or hostels where they are housed.

Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. No one should be treated as a second-class citizen. We believe in change, equality, and the fundamental rights of every person.

The truth may sometimes be difficult to hear or accept, but we will remain honest and stand firmly for what we believe in. Not everyone will agree with us, but we will continue working towards a better life for everyone whose path we cross.
